Website for personal trainers: cost and what it needs

A personal trainer selling one-to-one coaching fits step 01 at EUR 600 to 900, built in 1 to 2 weeks, or step 02 at EUR 900 to 1.500 in 2 to 3 weeks, when the site's job is to explain the offer and start a conversation. A studio with several trainers and online booking is step 03 at EUR 1.500 to 3.500, and selling packages with payment online is step 04 at EUR 3.500 to 7.500.

How a trainer's site wins or loses a first message

Hiring a personal trainer means agreeing to spend hours with one person, working on your body, your health or a goal you may feel self-conscious about. Nobody can try the coaching from a web page. What a reader can check is who you are, whether you work with people like them, how it works and what the first step is.

A page of stock gym photos and slogans about transformation answers none of that, and it could belong to any trainer in the city.

What the site needs to carry

Who it is for, and who it is not for

Name the people you work with and the goals you take on: strength for beginners, training around a demanding job, returning to exercise after a long break, whatever is true for you. Saying who you are not the right trainer for makes the rest believable. If you work alongside physiotherapists, say so, and promise nothing you cannot back.

You, in person

Show photographs of you training real clients, taken with their consent, your qualifications in plain words and what you focus on. Someone deciding whether to spend hours with you needs to see who turns up.

How it works

Say where training happens: your studio, a gym, at home, outdoors or online. Say how long a session lasts, how a programme is set, what happens between sessions and what the first meeting covers.

Price, or how price works

A price per session, per package or a from-price lets a reader check the offer fits their budget before they write. If you price after an intake, explain what the price depends on and whether the intake is charged.

One clear way to start

Pick one first step and repeat it on every page: an intake form, a call request or a booked intake slot. A form on a single page is step 01. Booking an intake slot on the site itself is step 03.

Results you are allowed to show

Before and after photographs and client quotes need the client's consent, best recorded in writing, and they only persuade if they are real. Say what the programme involved and over what period, so a result reads as one person's work rather than a promise to every reader.

Only you can write who you coach and how, and that is the part that waits on you.

What moves the quote

Which step fits which trainer

The full ladder is on the packages page. For one-to-one coaching it maps like this.

StepPriceTimelineWhat it looks like for a trainer
01 Single-page landingEUR 600-9001-2 weeksOne trainer, one offer, a page that ends at an intake form

Process and timeline

  1. Scoping. Who you coach, what you offer, how prices are shown and what the first step is. A fixed quote follows.
  2. Content. Your text, qualifications and photographs of real sessions. This waits on you, so book the photographs early.
  3. Structure and design. The path from first impression to first step, handled as one job under design and engineering.
  4. Build. Pages, form and any booking.
  5. Testing. The form and booking tried on phone and desktop and checked where they land.
  6. Launch and handover. From step 02 up, CMS access to edit prices, text and profiles.

Step 01 runs 1 to 2 weeks and step 02 runs 2 to 3 weeks. Where your project lands inside its range depends on when the content arrives.

Ownership, care and search

You own the code, the repository and the database. We can host the site too, agreed per project. Care runs EUR 100 to 300 per month for updates, monitoring, backups and small fixes, not a redesign or new features.

SEO foundation is a one-off EUR 450 to 750 for Search Console, analytics, indexation, technical hygiene, titles, internal links and a 3 to 6 month plan. SEO growth at EUR 500 to 800 per month carries that plan out with technical and on-page work, service and location pages, internal links and reporting. If you coach in one part of the city, say which part in words on the page.

When to spend less

If you are starting out, or your calendar fills through referrals and the gym you work from, a step 01 page at EUR 600 to 900 is enough. It gives people who hear your name somewhere to check you and a way to get in touch.

If you already take bookings and payments through an app your clients are happy with, link to it rather than paying for step 04 to rebuild it, and a coaching app you already use is no reason for step 05.

And if your calendar is full, SEO growth is spent on enquiries you cannot take. Keep a waiting list instead, and do not buy a bigger build yet.

Questions trainers ask

Should I put my prices on the site?

That is your decision. A price per session or package lets a reader check the fit before writing, and spares you a conversation with someone the price does not suit. If you price after an intake, explain what the price depends on. We publish our own prices for the same reason.

Can clients book and pay online?

Booking an intake or a session on the site is step 03 at EUR 1.500 to 3.500. Taking payment at booking, or selling packages online, is step 04 at EUR 3.500 to 7.500. If clients pay by invoice after the intake, you do not need it.

Do I need a website if people find me on Instagram?

A social profile shows your work, but the platform decides how it looks and whether it stays up. A site gives the people who find you there somewhere to read how you work, and a way to start that you control. You own the code, the repository and the database.

Should I build my own coaching app?

A custom platform with client dashboards, programmes and billing is step 05, from EUR 7.500, with the quote following discovery. Ready-made coaching apps already handle programmes and check-ins. Build your own only when your method needs something they cannot do.
