JP Studio
Next.js in Amsterdam

Next.js development,
designed and built
by one team.

JP Studio is a design engineering studio in Amsterdam that builds Next.js applications end to end: we design the interface, write the production code, deploy it on Vercel and keep it running. There is no handoff to a separate development shop, because the people drawing the screens are the people shipping them.

When Next.js is the right call

And, more usefully, when it is not.

Next.js earns its complexity when you need pages that render on the server so search engines and AI crawlers read real content, application routes behind a login, a database, and payments in the same codebase as the marketing site. That is one product rather than a website bolted to an app.

It is the wrong call for a five-page brochure site that changes twice a year. That deserves a static build: cheaper to run, faster, and far easier for someone else to maintain later. We would rather say so at the first conversation than bill you for a framework you do not need.

Server-rendered by default

Content arrives as HTML, so Google and the AI answer engines read the page without executing your JavaScript first.

One codebase, front to back

Marketing pages, product screens, auth and API routes live together, so a change does not need three deploys.

Deployed on Vercel

Preview deploys per change, instant rollbacks, and no server for you to patch at midnight.

The stack we actually run

We are specific about this because most agency pages are not. Our own SaaS runs on Next.js 16 with Supabase for Postgres and authentication and Stripe for payments. It is the stack we operate every day, not one we read about.

Client work sits on the same platform. JP Trading Capital is a React application on Vercel serverless functions, with a Supabase Postgres database and Stripe handling payments, running in six languages from one codebase with signed digital agreements and licence-gated software delivery. We have been designing and building it since 2024 and the engagement is ongoing.

JP Trading Capital runs in English, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, German and French, including checkout, legal agreements and metadata.

What a project costs

Every project is quoted individually, because the honest answer is that it depends.

We do not publish a price list, because the same brief means very different work depending on what already exists and what has to run afterwards. What we do instead is give you a fixed quote before any work starts, so the number you agree is the number you pay.

What already exists

A brand, a content set and a clear scope make a project cheaper. Starting from a blank page is design work before it is build work.

What it has to do

A site that presents is not a product that transacts. Accounts, payments, permissions and an admin area are where cost actually lives.

How many languages

Every extra language touches copy, checkout, legal text and metadata, not just the visible words on the page.

What happens after launch

A hand-over and a continuing engagement are different commitments, and they price differently.

Questions people actually ask

What does a Next.js development agency do?

A Next.js development agency designs and builds web applications on the Next.js framework, and deploys and maintains them, usually on Vercel. JP Studio does the design and the engineering in one team, so the interface and the code that ships it are not split across two companies.

Do you work with companies outside Amsterdam?

Yes. JP Studio is based in Amsterdam and works with clients across the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. Most of the work happens remotely with a small number of meetings that actually need to be meetings.

Should I use Next.js for my project?

Not always. Next.js is a good fit when you need server rendering for SEO, real application routes, authentication and a database behind them. If you need a handful of marketing pages that rarely change, a simpler static build is cheaper to run and easier to hand over, and we will tell you that.

What stack do you build on?

React and Next.js on Vercel, with Supabase for Postgres and authentication and Stripe for payments. Our own SaaS runs on Next.js 16 with Supabase and Stripe, so the stack is one we operate daily rather than one we only recommend.

What does a Next.js build cost?

Every project is quoted individually, so JP Studio does not publish a price list. What moves the number most is scope: how much already exists, whether the build needs accounts, payments and an admin area, how many languages it runs in, and whether the studio keeps it running after launch. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.
