Website for home care providers: cost and what it needs

A home care provider whose site has to explain the care, the area and how to start fits step 03, a business website at EUR 1.500 to 3.500, built in 3 to 6 weeks. A small provider with one kind of care in one area can start at step 02 for EUR 900 to 1.500, while intake sent into your care software through an API, or a portal where families log in, is step 04 at EUR 3.500 to 7.500.

Clarity wins the enquiry, polish does not

The reader may be the client, or a son or daughter arranging care for a parent, deciding who to let into a home. Either way they need plain answers: what care you give, in which area, who comes, how to start, how it is paid for and who to call. A site built around slogans about care with heart, with the services buried and the phone number in the footer, makes a worried reader work for each of those.

They may also be older, on a phone or under stress, so readable type, strong contrast, plain words and buttons that say what they do help every one of them. What website accessibility requires sets out the standard behind this.

What the site needs to carry

Care described as tasks

Personal care, nursing, household help, support with daily structure, night care: name only what you provide, and describe what your staff actually do. "Help with washing and dressing each morning" tells a family more than "personal care on your terms".

The area you cover, in words

List the towns, districts or postcodes you serve. If there is a wait before care can start in some areas, say so. A family that learns this from the site can plan around it.

How care is arranged and paid for

Who pays for care at home depends on the kind of care and the person's situation. Say which routes you work with, what a family has to arrange before you can start, and link to official information where they can check their own case.

How to start

Set out the steps: a first phone call, an intake visit, a care plan, the first visit. Put the phone number on every page with the hours someone answers, and offer a callback request for anyone who would rather not call.

The people who come

Show photographs of your own team, taken with their consent, and the qualifications and registrations they hold. If you work to keep the same carers with each client, explain how.

Complaints and privacy

Put your complaints procedure where a family can find it without asking. Health information is a special category of personal data under the GDPR, so a contact form should ask for contact details and a short question, not a medical history. GDPR and your website covers the rest.

Writing this in plain words waits on you, and who writes the copy sets out the options.

What moves the quote

Which step fits which provider

The full ladder is on the packages page. For care at home it maps like this.

StepPriceTimelineWhat it looks like for a home care provider
01 Single-page landingEUR 600-9001-2 weeksAn independent nurse or carer in one area: services, area, phone number and a form
02 Mini-siteEUR 900-1.5002-3 weeksA small team, care and area on separate pages, a contact flow and a basic CMS
03 Business websiteEUR 1.500-3.5003-6 weeksPages per kind of care and area, how to start, the team, complaints and privacy, callback requests
04 Advanced site / web appEUR 3.500-7.5006-12 weeksIntake into your care software through an API, a family or client portal with logins, online payment for private clients, a chatbot

Process and timeline

  1. Scoping. Pages, payment routes, form questions and where each request lands. A fixed quote follows.
  2. Content. Plain descriptions of the care, the area, the steps to start and team photographs. This waits on you.
  3. Structure and design. The path from first worry to first call, handled as one job under design and engineering.
  4. Build. Templates, CMS collections, forms and callback requests.
  5. Testing. Every form and phone link tried on phone and desktop, text checked for size and contrast.
  6. Launch and handover. CMS access for your team to edit care, areas, news and vacancies.

Step 03 runs 3 to 6 weeks and step 04 runs 6 to 12 weeks. Where your project lands inside its range depends on when the content arrives.

Ownership, maintenance and search

You own the code, the repository and the database. We can host the site too, agreed per project. Our Care maintenance plan runs EUR 100 to 300 per month for updates, monitoring, backups and small fixes, not a redesign or new features.

SEO foundation is a one-off EUR 450 to 750 for Search Console, analytics, indexation, technical hygiene, titles, internal links and a 3 to 6 month plan. SEO growth at EUR 500 to 800 per month carries that plan out with technical and on-page work, service and location pages, internal links and reporting. Location pages belong to the areas you can actually serve.

When to spend less

If your clients reach you through referrals and you already have a waiting list, the site is where a family checks you and where carers look for work. A step 02 mini-site at EUR 900 to 1.500, or a step 01 page at EUR 600 to 900 for an independent nurse or carer, does that job.

If your capacity is full, SEO growth is spent on enquiries you cannot take, though SEO foundation, done once, still sets up indexation and measurement properly.

Do not buy a bigger build yet, and do not buy step 04 for a family portal if your care software already offers one.

Questions care providers ask

Should we publish prices?

For private clients, a price per hour or per kind of care lets a family check the fit before calling. Where care is paid for through another route, explain in general terms how that works and where a family can check their own situation.

What should our contact form ask?

Name, a phone number or email address, the area, the kind of care and a short question. Leave out diagnoses and medical history; those belong in the intake conversation. A contact flow or callback request is part of step 03.

Do families need a login to follow the care?

Only if they should see visit times or care notes online and your care software does not already offer that. A portal with logins that holds health information is step 04 at EUR 3.500 to 7.500, or step 05 once it has its own workflows and admin. It has to meet the GDPR rules for health data before anyone logs in.

Who keeps vacancies and news up to date?

Your team, in the CMS, without a developer. Our Care maintenance plan covers updates, monitoring, backups and small fixes, not new features.

Tell us the care you provide, the area you cover and how families should reach you, and we will scope it and quote a fixed price. Start here.
