What an SEO foundation includes for EUR 450-750, and what it does not
The SEO foundation is a one-off EUR 450-750. It buys seven things: Google Search Console set up, analytics set up, an indexation check, a technical hygiene pass, rewritten page titles, repaired internal links, and a written plan for the next 3-6 months.
Its job is to make sure Google can find, read and understand the pages you already have. It does not write new pages or send you a report every month. Those are part of SEO growth at EUR 500-800/mo, which is a separate decision you can make later, or never.
The seven items, one by one
| Item | What gets done | What you have at the end |
|---|---|---|
| Search Console | The property verified on your domain and the sitemap submitted | Google's own report of which searches show your pages and which pages it has indexed |
| Analytics | Analytics installed, or an existing setup checked, with enquiries counted as events | Visit and enquiry numbers you can read without guessing what they measure |
| Indexation | Each page compared with what Google has indexed, including pages blocked by mistake and duplicates Google picked instead of the real page | A list of pages Google cannot see, and the reason for each |
| Technical hygiene | A check for broken links, redirect chains, wrong canonical tags, stray noindex tags and old addresses that return errors | Those problems cleaned up where the fix sits in the site's settings or content |
| Titles | A title written for each page worth finding, matched to the search that page should answer | Pages that say in the search results what they are about |
| Internal links | Links between your own pages checked and added, so each service page is linked from the pages that talk about it | A site where Google and visitors can reach every important page from the others |
| The 3-6 month plan | A written order of work: which pages to improve, which to add, and the search each one should target | A document you can hand to the studio, a freelancer or your own team |
What moves the price inside EUR 450-750
- How many pages the site has. Titles, indexation and internal links are checked page by page, so a mini-site with three pages is less work than a business website with seven.
- How much history the site carries. A site that has changed addresses, platforms or owners collects redirects and duplicate pages along the way. A brand-new site has none of that to untangle.
- What is already installed. Setting up analytics from nothing can be simpler than working out what an old setup has been counting, and whether it counts some enquiries twice.
- How many languages. Each language version has its own pages, titles and indexation to check.
What the foundation does not include
Read this part slowly, because it is where a one-off and a monthly service get confused.
| Not included | Why | Where it sits instead |
|---|---|---|
| Writing new service or location pages | Writing pages is continuing work, and the foundation is a setup job | SEO growth at EUR 500-800/mo, or your own team working from the plan |
| Monthly reporting | The one-off ends when the plan is handed over | SEO growth |
| Technical and on-page work after handover | Search Console keeps flagging new issues as the site changes | SEO growth |
| Speed fixes or template changes that need development | The check can find them, but fixing them is build work | Named in the plan and quoted separately |
| Updates, backups and monitoring | That is upkeep of the site, not search work | Care at EUR 100-300/mo |
| Links from other websites | Buying links breaks Google's spam policies, and earned links come from being worth linking to | Not part of the foundation or of SEO growth |
| A ranking guarantee | Google decides rankings, and your competitors are working on theirs | Nowhere, from anyone honest |
Two things on this page continue every month: SEO growth and Care. The foundation happens once and finishes with the plan in your hands.
How the work runs
- Access. Search Console needs a record on your domain or a file on the site, analytics needs an account, and titles and links need editing access to the CMS or the code. This is the part that waits on you.
- The check. Indexation, technical hygiene, titles and internal links, page by page.
- The fixes that sit inside the site: titles rewritten, internal links added, broken links and redirects cleaned up, the sitemap submitted.
- The plan. A 3-6 month order of work, with each page tied to a search it should answer and any development work named separately.
- Handover of the plan, with a note of everything that was changed on the site.
On a new build, the natural moment is just before launch, inside the build weeks: 2-3 weeks for a mini-site, 3-6 for a business website, 6-12 for an advanced site or web app. The site then goes live with Search Console, analytics and titles already in place. On a site that is already live, the quote sets the timeline, and access is what decides how fast it starts.
After the fixes, Google recrawls the site on its own schedule, and nobody can promise you a date for that. That is why the plan looks 3-6 months ahead. The steps for new builds are on the pricing page.
When to spend less
Skip the foundation if your site is a single-page landing that gets its visitors from ads. Step 01 already includes analytics, and an indexation check has little to find on one page.
Wait if a rebuild is coming. Titles and internal links written for the old site get thrown away with it. Do the foundation on the new site, just before it launches.
Skip it if nobody searches for what you sell. Some businesses run on referrals, tenders or a handful of long relationships. Search Console is free to set up yourself, and its report of the searches that show your site will tell you whether there is anything to build on.
And do not start paying EUR 500-800/mo for SEO growth while the basics are broken. Monthly work on top of pages Google cannot index is work on the wrong problem.
Questions buyers ask about the SEO foundation
Will my site rank after the foundation?
Nobody can promise that honestly, so be careful with anyone who does. The foundation removes the reasons Google cannot find or understand your pages. Where you rank after that depends on the pages you publish, the searches you compete for and whether other sites link to you.
Do I need SEO growth afterwards?
No. The 3-6 month plan is written so that someone on your team, a freelancer or the studio can carry it out. SEO growth at EUR 500-800/mo is the option where the studio does that work each month: technical and on-page work, service and location pages, internal links and reporting.
Is the foundation part of a website build?
It is quoted as its own one-off line, EUR 450-750, next to the price of whichever step your build sits on. You can add it to a new site or to one that is already live, including a site someone else built.
What access do you need?
A way to verify Search Console, which means adding a record to your domain's DNS or a file to the site. Then an analytics account, and editing access to the CMS or the code so titles and links can be changed. Whoever does the work, keep the Search Console property under a Google account your business controls.
What does the plan actually look like?
A plain written document. It lists the pages to improve and the pages to add, the search each one targets, the order to do them in over 3-6 months, and what to watch in Search Console to see whether it is working.
