Website for business coaches: what it costs and what you actually need
A business coach with one offer needs one page, and that is step 01 on our price list: EUR 600 to 900, 1 to 2 weeks, a single page with a working enquiry form, analytics and a layout that holds up on a phone. If you genuinely run two or three separate programmes that cannot share a page, step 02 at EUR 900 to 1.500 gives you 2 to 3 pages, a contact flow and a basic CMS in 2 to 3 weeks. Everything above that is structure, and structure needs a reason.
One offer stated clearly beats seven service pages
A coaching buyer arrives with a short list of questions. Who is this person. What do they actually do with me. Is this for someone in my situation. What happens if I fill in the form. What does it cost, or how is the price decided. Answer those five in that order and the page is finished.
A seven-page site answers the same five questions, but it scatters each answer across pages the reader has to find and reassemble. If "Executive Coaching", "Leadership Coaching", "Team Coaching" and "Career Coaching" are the same paragraph with one noun swapped, the reader notices, and so does Google, because four pages competing on near-identical copy leave none of them with a clear job.
There is a second cost that never appears on the invoice. Every page is a page you have to keep true. Change your positioning and you edit seven blocks of copy instead of one, and the ones you forget stay online contradicting you.
What each shape costs
| What the site is | Step | Price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
| One page: the offer, who it is for, proof, form | Step 01 | EUR 600 to 900 | 1 to 2 weeks |
| Home, about, one programme page, contact flow, basic CMS | Step 02 | EUR 900 to 1.500 | 2 to 3 weeks |
| 4 to 7 pages, CMS, separate service pages, booking or contact | Step 03 | EUR 1.500 to 3.500 | 3 to 6 weeks |
| Client login, dashboard, payments, CRM, chatbot | Step 04 | EUR 3.500 to 7.500 | 6 to 12 weeks |
Step 03 is the right answer when the programmes really do differ: a different buyer, a different problem, a different price. A corporate leadership retainer and a one-to-one career session are two products, and two honest service pages beat one page trying to speak to both. Step 03 is the wrong answer when the pages exist because a template arrived with seven slots in the menu.
What moves the number
Copy
On a coaching site the words are the product. If you arrive with your offer already written down, the build is short and step 01 is realistic. If you want the offer worked out with you, that is scoping and writing work, and it is priced before anything is designed. This is also the part that waits on you: a page cannot be finished around placeholder text.
Booking
A link out to an external calendar tool costs nothing to add and sits comfortably inside step 01. A booking flow built into the site, with your availability, your session types and your confirmation emails, belongs in step 03. If that booking also takes the money, it is step 04.
Payments
Selling a programme or a session on a new site is step 04, EUR 3.500 to 7.500. Checkout brings tax handling, refunds, failed payments, receipts and somewhere for the order to live. It is a second piece of software sitting behind the page. Added to a site you already have, it is the payments and subscriptions add-on at EUR 600 to 1.500.
A second language
A Dutch and English site is not one site with a toggle. It is a second version of every page, form label, error message and meta description, and all of it has to be updated whenever you change your wording. Budget the extra language add-on, EUR 250 to 500, plus translation.
Editing it yourself
A basic CMS starts at step 02. If the only thing you will ever change is a paragraph and a photo, ask for exactly that rather than a page builder you then have to learn. Care at EUR 100 to 300 per month covers updates, monitoring, backups and small fixes, which suits you better if you would rather send the change than make it. It does not cover a redesign or new features.
Process and timeline
- Scope. One call about the offer, the buyer and what the page has to do. A fixed quote always follows scoping, so you see a number before any work starts.
- Structure and copy. The order of the page is agreed before a single screen is designed. On step 01 this is where the thinking happens.
- Design and build. One page or several, built on the same stack we use for larger projects, so the small site can grow instead of being replaced.
- Form, analytics, launch. The enquiry form is tested against real delivery, analytics is connected, and the site goes live.
Step 01 runs 1 to 2 weeks, step 02 runs 2 to 3 weeks, step 03 runs 3 to 6 weeks. Those ranges assume your copy and photographs arrive when scoping says they will. The full list of steps sits on our packages page.
When to spend less
- If your clients come from referrals and one network, buy step 01 and put the rest of the budget into how the page reads. A well-written single page sends better enquiries than a large site nobody finishes.
- If your offer is still moving, wait. A site fixes wording in place, and rewriting a finished site costs more than writing one page once you know what you sell.
- Do not buy SEO growth at EUR 500 to 800 per month before there is a page worth sending people to. SEO foundation is a one-off at EUR 450 to 750: Search Console, analytics, indexation, technical hygiene, titles, internal links and a 3 to 6 month plan. Start there and decide about the monthly work afterwards.
- If the site is one page and nothing on it changes, care can wait until something does.
Questions coaches ask
Can a single page rank in Google?
For your own name and the specific wording of your offer, yes. For a broad competitive phrase, one page will not do it alone, and neither will seven thin ones. A contested term needs pages built for that purpose plus internal links and authority, which is SEO growth work at EUR 500 to 800 per month. Treat it as a separate budget line, not as a reason to buy more pages in the build.
I already have a site. Rebuild or fix?
If the structure is right and the words are wrong, rewriting costs less than rebuilding. If it will not load quickly, cannot be edited without a developer, or the contact form does not deliver mail, that is a build problem and new copy will not save it. Tell us which one it is in your first message and the quote reflects it. Rewriting an existing one-pager sits at the low end of step 01.
Who owns the site when it is finished?
You do. You own the code, the repository and the database, so another developer can pick up the whole project. Hosting is agreed per project, so where it runs is settled during scoping rather than assumed.
Do I need a blog?
Only if you are going to write. A blog nobody updates says less about you than no blog at all. If you will write, the CMS in step 02 is enough to start. If it exists to win search traffic, it belongs with SEO work and its own plan, not with the build price.
Can I start at step 01 and grow later?
Yes, and that is the argument for building the small version properly. A step 01 page built the way we build larger projects, described on our design and engineering page and in our Next.js work, can gain service pages, a CMS or a booking flow later as add-ons, without starting from an empty folder.
