What a Driving School Website Costs

A driving school website costs EUR 900 to 1.500 as a small site, or EUR 1.500 to 3.500 once it carries real service pages and a booking flow. Those are step 02 and step 03 on our price list, and what decides between them is not how many instructors you have. It is whether the site is telling people about lessons or handling the booking itself.

What a learner is doing on the page

Someone looking for a driving school arrives with three questions and wants all three answered before they contact anybody.

  1. What does it cost, per hour and as a package.
  2. When can I start, and when are the lessons.
  3. Who will be sitting next to me in the car.

A plain site that answers those three beats a handsome one that makes people ring up to find out the price. Hiding the price gives somebody comparing several schools an easy reason to leave.

Lesson packages, and how they sit on the page

Packages go wrong on a page when they turn into a wall of small print. What a learner needs is a table they can read in one pass, and that table has to make five things clear.

None of that needs a bigger build. A table of packages is text on a page, and text on a page is step 02, EUR 900 to 1.500, two to three weeks, with a basic CMS so you can change a price yourself.

Where booking pushes it up a step

Publishing availability and taking a request is step 03. A page showing which days and times each instructor teaches, a form where a learner picks the slots that suit them, and your reply. EUR 1.500 to 3.500, four to seven pages, three to six weeks. The diary still lives where it lives now, in your phone or on paper, and a human confirms every lesson.

A live diary that learners book into and pay for is step 04. Learner accounts, instructor calendars that update as slots go, a package bought and paid for on the site, credits drawn down as lessons are taken, rescheduling inside your own rules. EUR 3.500 to 7.500, six to twelve weeks. It is a small application with a website around it, priced as one because that is what it is: login, dashboard, API, payments. Same method as any application we build, described in design and engineering.

Whether the jump is worth making comes down to one question. If your evenings go into arranging lessons by message, step 04 is buying the evenings back. If a form and a phone call gets the lesson booked, step 03 is the right place to stop.

Local search, and how many pages it justifies

Driving school demand is local in a very literal way. People search near where they live or near the test centre they expect to be sent to, and they add words like automatic, intensive, or evening lessons. Two things follow.

First, town names and test centre names belong in the actual sentences on your pages, not only in a list in the footer. Second, a page per town is worth building only when that page has something of its own on it: the instructors who cover it, the test centre it feeds, the routes, where you pick learners up. Near-identical pages with the place name swapped are weight without benefit.

SEO foundation is EUR 450 to 750, one-off: Search Console, analytics, indexation, technical hygiene, titles, internal links, and a plan covering three to six months. SEO growth is EUR 500 to 800 a month and that one continues: technical and on-page work, service and location pages, internal links, reporting. A school working one town can take the foundation and leave it there. A school covering several towns and test centres is the case growth exists for.

Timeline and what it waits on

Step 02 is two to three weeks, step 03 is three to six, step 04 is six to twelve. The spread on step 04 depends on how strict your booking rules are: cancellation windows, package credits, what an instructor is allowed to override.

Every project starts with scoping and a fixed quote always follows it, so the price is settled before work begins. The part that waits on you is your own material: package prices signed off, instructor photos and bios, the cancellation policy in final wording. Booking rules have to come from you, because we can build any rule and we cannot guess yours.

When to spend less

Questions driving schools ask

Do I need online payment for lesson packages?

Only if you want the money taken at the moment of booking, and that puts the project in step 04, EUR 3.500 to 7.500, because payments live there. Taking a transfer or a card in person costs nothing and works. The argument for paying online is commitment at the point of booking, so if no-shows are not a problem for you, it does not apply.

Can learners see availability without a full booking system?

Yes. A weekly timetable per instructor, published and edited through the CMS, together with a request form, sits inside step 03. It is not live, so you have to keep it current, but it answers the question the learner came to ask. Moving to a diary that updates itself is the step 04 upgrade.

Who owns the site and the learner data?

You do. The code, the repository and the database are yours, which matters here because that database holds your learner records. If we stop working together you keep all of it, and another developer can pick it up.

What does it cost to keep running?

Care is EUR 100 to 300 a month: updates, monitoring, backups, small fixes. Not a redesign, not new features. Hosting is agreed per project rather than assumed, settled during scoping and written into the quote. A step 04 booking application is where care earns its place, because anything people book through needs watching.

If you can say which of the two jobs your site has to do, describe the lessons or take the booking, you already know your step. Send us the details and we will scope it and come back with a fixed price.
